Job Responsibilities:
 
Provide engineering technical support during the development, design, construction, start-up, and documentation phases of capital projects at the Trenton Site.
Responsible for managing capital projects, including costs, schedules and startups, using World Class Project Management process.
Lead Teams comprised  Outside Contract Engineers as well as manage construction activities using both  plant maintenance personnel as well as outside construction contractors.
Provide technical support to operating and maintenance departments to support on-going plant operations and as well as assist with efficiency and reliability improvements to plant facilities and operations. 
Requirements:
 
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Demonstrated Leadership Skills in managing Project Teams
Good planning, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Good communication and technical skills
High degree of initiative
Ability to contribute individually and in a team environment
Beneficial:
10+ years related mechanical engineering experience in a chemical, refining, and/or petrochemical plant environment.
Managed small and large capital projects from conception through construction and start-up.
Familiarity with process industry standards and applicable codes like ASME, API, ANSI, etc.
Experience utilizing World-Class Project Management (WCPM) systems.
Experience with SAP maintenance & project systems as well as skill in other general computer software programs (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project) and AutoCAD software.
Professional Engineering License by exam.
Knowledgeable in PSM Mechanical Integrity.
Experience with operation and design of pumps, compressors, chillers, tanks, piping, etc.
 
2)Springfield, MA Position:
The Research and Development   Company, has an immediate job opening for a Mechanical Design & Development Engineer to work on developing novel extrusion and sheet handling processes and equipment for the production of various high performance interlayer films.
 
Major Position Responsibilities
Serve as the design and mechanical support expert for the major critical pieces of equipment used in our commercial operations.
Provide technical support as needed to manufacturing and customer operations for mechanical issues through troubleshooting, design modifications and process optimization activities.
Provide project support as a Mechanical Design Representative in both Design & Development and New Facility Projects.
Plan & conduct mechanical design activities to provide process support for new development programs from pilot scale testing through commercialization.
Serve as a Project Manager for Technology Development Projects and other small projects either for the pilot or commercial manufacturing facilities.
 
Qualification Requirements:
 
An advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
A Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Polymer Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of relevant industrial experience or an  degree is required.
Extensive knowledge in the design, development and implementation of new technology for film and sheet extrusion systems.  Candidate must be a self-starter, driven by the discovery and implementation of the latest new equipment designs and process technology.
Expertise with CAD / CAM software and able to provide leadership and direction in this area.
Modeling experience is beneficial; 3D CAD, FEM/FEA, and CFD modeling of polymer forming processes and equipment. Experience with the analysis and validation of simulation predictions.
A strong background in the principles of Mechanical Engineering.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team.
Attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong commitment to task and ability to organize / prioritize and execute assignments in a high activity environment.
Willingness to accommodate significant travel to execute major responsibilities.
